Jared Guerrero Founder & Principal Consultant

Jared has over 10 years of experience supporting upstream and midstream oil & gas companies and has been a proven contributor to two successful private equity-backed sale events totaling over $1 billion in transaction value. He is known for translating complex spatial data into clear, actionable insights, bridging GIS expertise with commercial decision making.

 

Before launching Cartesia Energy, his background included serving as the sole manager of enterprise GIS systems for multiple private equity–backed upstream and midstream companies. He built and maintained company-wide GIS platforms, spatial data environments, and custom web applications used across business development, engineering, and operations teams. His work enabled commercial teams to quickly identify and pursue new producer connections, system expansions, greenfield, and brownfield opportunities. This experience provided a natural transition into the commercial side of the business, where he gained first hand involvement in crude and gas gathering contract structuring and negotiation, as well as crude and gas marketing.

 

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Science & Technology from Texas A&M University.
