Jared has over 10 years of experience supporting upstream and midstream oil & gas companies and has been a proven contributor to two successful private equity-backed sale events totaling over $1 billion in transaction value. He is known for bridging GIS expertise with commercial decision making.
Before launching Cartesia Energy, his background included serving as the sole manager of enterprise GIS systems for multiple private equity–backed upstream and midstream companies. His work enabled commercial teams to quickly identify and pursue new producer connections, system expansions, greenfield, and brownfield opportunities. This experience provided a natural transition into the commercial side of the business, where he gained first hand involvement in crude and gas gathering contract structuring and negotiation, as well as crude and gas marketing.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geographic Information Science & Technology from Texas A&M University. Jared enjoys spending time outside of work golfing, fishing, and playing music with his wife, Shelby.
